About ‘Essential Wave’
You may spend a fair amount of time pondering waves, as I do. These ‘things’ that don’t even really exist. Momentary masses of liquid hydrocarbons with flows and patterns that are there for a few moments and then gone. At their largest they are huge, powerful, looming, roiling, crashing in their nature, and yet completely ephemeral. WTF. You couldn’t make this stuff up. Thought transitory, there is a structure. My desire was somehow to evoke the bones of a wave, so to speak. To graphically represent the ‘lowest common denominator’ of a wave. My studies of Japanese art contributed I think. The original Wave and Essential Wave paintings are in private collections. Pleased to make Essential Wave available to you here in enhanced limited edition form.
Production Notes
Each art work is signed and numbered. When the maximum number of artworks in an edition (usually 30) is sold, no more will be produced, assuring the rarity of the work. Each artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity showing the details of its creation.
